Because there are thousands of music elitists who think they are emo or mainstream and not good enough to approve of.
They crave originality and first-dibs on their favourite underground bands.
And often they are thought of to resemble the band "Fall out boy" (the sound I mean) and many have discontinued their approval of that band because of their sudden success in mainstream audiences.
Ergo, P!ATD is similarly disliked.
Too bad for them, I find the lead singer pretty cute and their songs catchy. "But it's better if you do" I'm really starting to like. o^^o

They suck. They're exactly like every other band that is supposedly "rock" now. I hate them just like I hate Fall Out Boy. There's almost nothing worth listening to these days. Mellow lazy guy is right on. I can't believe anyone would use those exact same words!

I have to addmit, their songs are catchy, but there's really nothing special about them. They're not great musicians, they all look the same, they're lyrics are nothing special (yet they're extremely overused), and I've read a couple of interviews they've had with people, and seem very arrogant.

Different people like different things.I like Panic! At the Disco but other people might prefer Beyonce or eminem. It's kind of difficult because you see it from your point of view.Because you like them you can't understand why other people don't. It helps if you think of a band/singer you don't like and you can see it from their point of view(",)

Personally i think all bands like that suck. My personal opinion. I hate emo, death metal, core metal and all the stuff emo people listen to. Rock is dying and a band needs to step up and save it. Pearl Jam is coming back so hopefully we can see them do something about it.

i havent heard all of their stuff, but i've heard "i write sins not tragedies" and i love it. there's just something about it that makes it different from other songs. but yeah, tastes do differ - that's why there are pop fans and metal fans at the same time, 'cause everyone likes different things

I like them. I think they sound a lot like fallout boy. everyone has their tastes in music. I like how they can be saying mean things but still have a happy upbeat tone to it.

I think I downloaded their songs to my pod and they just make me sick litter ally! Most every song has some type of configuration that is mentally and audibility irritating.
