A degree in criminology with psychology would entail you to work as a criminal psychologist, perhaps in joint association with the police or the intellegence departments. It is also closely related to the work of a forensic psycholgist. However, differernt countries have different openings for such a degree and you must look into the details of the specific country you would like to settle in.
Criminology is a very specialised field, and the scope is not much. However if you go in for a reputed and accepted degree, doing lots of research on the job prospects, taking help from professional consultants and other people in the same field, you will stand a good chance.

A criminology degree is essentially just a Social Sicence degree. Which in some cases puts it on par with a sociology or psychology degree, but in other cases it is not equivilent. It's hard to say that it really qualifies you for anything in particular. You could certainly go into policing, or corrections. You could also look at being a parole officer or social worker. With criminology becoming more popular, there will be just as many criminologists working at starbucks as there are now people with psychology degrees.
I will be using mine as my prerequiste degree to enter law school.
