Click on Start... then All Programs, Yahoo! Messenger. Right click on the Yahoo! Messenger and then Sent To and Desktop (create shorcut)... and your done...

right click on the desktop, new and then go to shortcut, there give the target to the programe files where your yahoo is installed, and you get the short cut, for changing the icon, right click on the shortcut, and then properties and then change icon, and get what ever icon you want,
