can you understand low speaking with lots of background noise, or doctors with strange accents, who slur their words, or who say one thing then go back and say "no change this that and this..." ... can you stand nasty blood-n-guts kind of stuff? can you stand teenagers? .... make a list as such and the ones you think the cons are most tolerable for you then pick it.

Quite a mix you have there. Do what you like is the proper answer. Who cares if you make a lot of money if you hate your work so much that you quit. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for 40 years is 76,800 hours of unhappiness, more if you count the complaining about your job after you leave for the day and the bad dreams time. If you want to know salaries look at monster.com or salary.com.

You should really be chosing your career based on what you enjoy, since you will spend more than 70% of your life working! Do you honestly want to do something that you hate, even if it paid well? Why do you think so many people change careers in their 40s?

You should choose what you are interested in...because this is the career you are gonna do for the rest of your life and if you aren't interested in it you won't want to do it forever.

For me I'd go with Medical Transcriptionist...you can work from home or the office.

that is how you are picking a career?? Oh you will love going to work everyday if you let other people pick your job. You should look up the education you need and the money, but dont base it soley on that.
