Help! My home has been invaded by huge black waterbugs. I am seeing them in every room in the house. We have sprayed and put out boric acid but it doesn't seem to affect them. They are so big, even my dogs are scared of them.

I have looked them up and the closest I can figure they are the largest of the roaches, The American Cockroach-Adults-1 1/2 in. long! I've lived here for 10 years and never had a problem like this.

Sorry but those are COCKROACHES. There is no such thing as water bugs that don't live in the water. People call them water bugs because the thought of roaches that big is pretty gross but I have seen bigger ones Roach spray and bait type traps could help, Boric acid is pretty much useless as far as my experience goes. ANd keep things (food items and trash)clean sealed if you can. They are a more outside type but all cockroaches are opportunistic bugs like ants they will go where there is food. I assume you live in a southern state I know that Florida is bad for those bugs so I assume all most southern states.
