I know this saying is already quites over used but I do beleive that truly, you should only try to be yourself. Get to know the guy and let him get to know who you really are. I know it will be a bit hard to do that since acting normally around him isnt easily done but if you two really have compattible attitudes, then you will click. The fact that he has a crush on another girl doesnt really matter a lot. People have crushes all the time and usually its just because a person is cute or nice. These crushes disappear as quickly as they appear. Dont let yourself get affected by that and just keep getting to know him better.

All that you are doing is guessing. "I think he has a crush on my friend". Why not ask him? Just get into a conversation with him
and say something like " I like you and would like to get to know you better but I think you might like my friend. If that's the case it would help to let me know.
That way you only say that you like him (we all like a lot of people) and you will know for sure. What if he doesn't have a crush on your friend? This way you don't have to guess.

Just go out and meet another guy. You can't be in love with someone and think he's crushing on your friend. Believe me, in a few years, this will be the least of your worries. I wish I could go back to where my biggest worry was a guy I liked liked my friend.... :)

Try to outsmart your friend by being nice with him. If you are terribly in love with someone then you will have to do terrible things to achieve what you want most!!

you need to get the guts to talk to him. find out whats on his mind. if you dont you will never know. go up to him and talk to him a little.. kid around with him like "hehe i think your too cute" or something like that. break the ice chicka
