Absolutely! President Theodore Roosevelt once said the U.S. should, "speak softly, but carry a big stick." That's what we still believe, for the most part. The U.S. wants peace, but not at the cost of allowing evil to triumph. The root of the trouble is that in general, Arabs see Hamas amd Hezbollah as courageous groups fighting the Zionist occupiers of Palestine. The West (the U.S. and its allies) see those groups as terrorists and in America's eyes a terrorist is about the lowest kind of human being there is. So many Arabs try to describe Israel's actions as terrorist actions...but they are not. The Israelis nearly always act defensively, which they have the right to do.

Unless and until Arabs accept the existence of Israel and stop listening to radical Islamist fanatics, there won't be peace in the Middle East. And since the United States will NEVER allow Israel to lose a war against its Arab neighbors, you have to wonder about the wisdom of those people who still want to fight Israel.

They're wasting their time, their blood, and their lives.

Hamas and Hezbollah have had a green light to attack Israel for decades. Do you think THEY even want peace? Hamas and Hezbollah show no signs of restraint when it comes to causing civilian casualties. What mitary signifigance is there to blowing up a Pizza Parlor?

What makes you think Israel really wants to attack Palestinian or Lebanese civilians? With the firepower they have available they could easily cause thousands or tens of thousands of civilians casualties IF that were their goal. Israel I believe at least tries to strike military targets. Now when you have military targets INSIDE civilian areas there will be civilian casualties.

Does Germany, Russia, China, France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Egypt support peace any more then the US does? Who has tried to broker more peace accords than the US? Who has spent more time trying to promote peace in the middle east than the US? Do those who support Hamas and Hezbollah want peace?

You jump all over the US. Why not jump on the rest of the world for not doing more? Why not jump all over the UN for not doing what is supposed to be their job? At least the US has tried!

First off, all of the words below are spelled wrong:
us
Israil
Palastinians
Lebaneis

And secondly the U.S. did not give a green light for anyone to fight. Israel for one isn't going to wait to ask the U.S. if it needs to protect itself. From what I see Israel is in the right on this one.

Well,, the G8 remarks made by Bush didn't support anything but more violence and destruction:

An annie bee original:

Little Georgie Bushie sat on his tushie,
As he stuffed his mouth full with a roll,
When along came a Britt, who did not want to sit,
As the bombings, George began to extol!

And with his mouth agape, more and more like an ape.
Georgie proceeded, with his signature smirk,
Oh Tony, ole pal, the solution is here,
"Bomb the **** out of Hezbollah." said the jerk!

The prestigious assembly of the entire G8,
Sat there silent , with not even a cough,
Georgie was puzzled, and Tony looked pained,
As he switched the microphones off.

HOW PEACEFUL CAN WE BE?

So long as anyone wants to initiate force against another for any reason there will not be peace. This includes forcing someone to give up their hard earned money (taxes), forcing someone to not put certain things in their bodies (drug laws), forcing someone to live by the ways of your religion, etc.

Excuse me, but you need to exactly explain how the United States gave another country the green light to defend itself.

Your blanket accusation that the U.S. is a warmongering country is unfounded.

Americans hate peace, as everyone knows !!!!
American industry deeply depends on the war ... the war budget of US is ten times more than the total of another principle countries (Russia, China, Japan, UK and France).
Especially Bush loves war and he always agrees invasion to another country and killing innocent civilians.

Absolutley not and never has. There's too much money to be made out of war. The US under Bush doesn't even support the UN!

Yes, when every one that disagrees with us or has resources we need is dead. We will have peace, unless the military industrial complex need more money.
