You evidemment mean debutante which means beginner from which the word debut comes in English. Check for accents. Also like a celebrity debutante: when female and good French kisser. Ca Va?

I went to a number of websites and punched it in for you...and they came back with "no such word" can be found...so then I reversed it and tried it the other way (from English to French) and it produced the same results. Are you certain you spelled it right? Are you certain it is a French word? I cut and pasted it from your question...so I know it wasn't my typing.

I think you mean:

Main Entry: deb·u·tante
Pronunciation: 'de-byu-"tänt
Function: noun
Etymology: French débutante, feminine of débutant
DEBUTANT; especially : a young woman making her formal entrance into society
