Pregnancy is a personal thing, you don't need to discuss this with your boss. At one point if he ask you you can very well say that you are pregnant. Otherwise just quit the job when you are ready to quit. You don't even need to say that it is due to pregnancy.
Congrats!

This is sticky. If you were only a month or so along, it would have been easy enough to wait until you started showing and then just tell him you didn't know until after he hired you. At 5 months, it's going to be hard to get out of this one! If this is an at-will employer, he can fire you for no reason at all... If this is a restaurant job, it's not white collar, so I seriously doubt your boss will be too pleased. What are you doing there? You dont' want to do anything too strenuous or be on your feet all day...especially if they start swelling. I'd suggest you to to Kelly or AccounTemps or some other temp. agency and try that instead.

I didnt tell my employer that I was pregnant. She hired me when I was 3 months and I would tell her if I was going to be late due to doctors appointments and eventually she figured it out. I dont think you have to tell them if you choose not too they will figured it out sooner or later. The only thing is you said you are working at a resturant if you are a waitress you may want to tell them because the hours of waitress and all the extra standing up it may be hard on you. If you choose to tell I would wait atleast until six months good luck

i think you oughta come right out and tell the boss; he's bound to find out anyway. take it from me, i hv given birth to my daughter 9 mos ago and i was scared to tell my new boss i was preggo. it did take me 1 or 2 days after physically being on the job to come out with it. if you must know what happens afterwards is tricky, but be relieved they can't fire you. be prepared for some answers though. they will pry by asking some q's like: how long u've known...yada yada yada. to save face don't let time go by. come prepared with a speech. and a bit of advice for you, (if you prolong this matter) hunny don't make it worse for another who may be in the same boat as you--time has taught me this.
congratulations and good luck w/ your new job and your baby!!!

It's none of there buisness, if you even married. You don't have to say why you are leaving, although, it might be obvious. If your boss says anything to you you can politly remind him that it is none of his buisness. If your in California, your employment is "at will", meaning either of you can terminate at anytime without reason. Unless, you signed some other contract or agreement.
The industry your in experiences moderate to high turnover. Try to be fare and give 2 weeks, or more notice. You may want to go back someday.
Don't say why you are leaving, don't give out information that isn't there buisness. Just leave.

You should have told your boss the truth and just how you explained your situation to us you should have did the same with him but told him and maybe he would have understood where you were coming from because he will eventually find out.

I'd wait until either you need some kind of accommodation (if there are certain jobs you can no longer do), or closer to the birth when you need to talk to him about when you will be leaving, etc.
Congrats!

Who cares? You're right! He wouldn't have hired you knowing you're pregnant. Besides, he'll probably fire you anyway before long. Aren't you showing, by now?

Well if you don't sign any form that ask you if you are pregnant, than it should be ok if you want to tell otherwise, they have the legal rights to terminate your contract under falsifying your documents.
