Be prepared to fall off a few times. If it's not too shameful, you could use training wheels like kids do. Get someone to hold the bike for you while you get used to it.

Find an empty, flat road or parking lot; put the bike in a low gear. You start out by pushing off with your feet and gliding. When you get the balance, start getting your feet on the pedals. Ride short distances in a straight line. Teach yourself to shift your weight to steer - lean into the turn, instead of turning the handlebars. With enough practice, it will all come naturally.
Don't hurt yourself alright?

Yes. I've taught my kids by first attaching training wheels on the back tire until they've got the hang or confidence of balance. Then slowly raise the training wheels where more balance would be needed. And finally, removing the training wheels. They fall, but keep trying and don't forget to break to stop. (^_^) Happy riding.

The saying "It's as easy as riding a bike" or "You can't forget it, it's like riding a bike"doesn't qualify for me because I somehow managed to forget how to ridea bike. Sad,I know.

really all you do is keep your balance and petal at your own pace until you can reach and advanced pace. i learned to ride a bike without training wheels when i was 7(lol) i guess i thought you needed to know lol but don't give up remember if at first you don't succeed dust yourself off and TRY AGAIN.

...yes...since I was 7
...buy a three wheeler...then remove one...the extra one will make you feel not too alone...and before you know it- you know how to ride a bicycle, because that extra one will soon bend upwards bit by bit...and gives you less and less support/help with balance
...this is how my son learned how to ride his bike at 5 all by himself
