I used to be a Christian Dior Makeup Artist. The key is you want to look natural, not made up.

Blue eyes = neutral toned eyeshadows like browns and taupes. This will make your eyes sparkle. If you use blues and greens, the only thing people will notice is your eyeshadow, not your eyes.

If you have blonde hair, use a brown mascara instead of a black one. Black is too dark for your fair features, and again, will make people notice your makeup instead of you.

If you have peach or gold undertones in your skin, go with a similar blush. If you have pink undertones, go pink, light pink during the day, a little more bold at night. Also at night, you can use a black mascara, since you do generally want to have a bolder, more noticeable look.

Lipstick is the same deal; but again, undertones are going to play a big part. If you've got pink undertones, you want to go with redder pinks; if you've got gold undertones or peach undertones, you go with more neutral pinks -- you'll understand what I mean once you get in front of a board of 66 lip shades.

If you're inclined to wear red lipstick, stay away from deep reds and wine colors because they are too dark for your light hair. Reds with a more orange or gold tint would be better for you.

Find the foundationt that best matches your skin tone and undertones. Get three different shades of foundation that best match your skin tone. Put a very thin stripe of each foundation on your jaw so that you can compare each color against the next one. The one that looks as if it has disappeared into your skin IS your proper shade of foundation.

Obviously I would counsel you to go to Dior. I no longer work for them, but they do have the most beautiful foundations on the planet, as is all of their makeup. I really believe in their product and still use it to this day. Their products also have a seven year shelf life and a single bottle fo foundation will last you a year. Turns out cheaper than drug store brands.

The next trick is, once you find your foundation and it works for you, stick with it. Don't buy one product this month and then another product six months down the line, this will really do a number on your skin. You can use "color" from anyone; that is, shadows, blushes, lipstick, etc., but be monogamous always to your skin care and foundation.

Good luck to you!

If you’re fair-skinned, sheer colors look best on you. Apply light earth tones and soft pastels, such as lavender to accent your eyes.
Various shades of pink will look good on your eyes, cheeks and lips. Keep your mascara to brown or brown/black. Light, sheer lipstick adds a finishing touch. Peach is always a good choice for fair-skinned, it looks natural and compliments your skin color. Other things I do with my make up is I use a mineral powder that gives me a warm look. I use Arbonnes mineral powder foundation with spf 15 since my skin color and tone are very nice and I don't need heavy stuff to cover it up (from using arbonnes skin care line of course). This stuff is way better than anything mary kay or bare minerals can give you. I've tried both and arbonne leaves them in the dust.

Simple Look:
You should put on the right foundation (skin color/or anything close to your skin tone) on your face first. Or face powder. Whatever works on you.
Apply a little red/pink blush into your eyes. Then add some eyeshadow (any color, but I think blue/violet looks good on blue eyes).
Then put on some eye liner and mascara.
Dont forget to put on some lip gloss/lip stick too!...
Voila!!!...

less is more...really. you could probably get away with just a tinted moisturizer some mascara and some lip gloss. natural is more appealing than overdone.
