With irregular menstruation, its difficult to guess the ovulation and safe period.
You have to consult ur Dr before starting on a pill programme.
Irregular mentruation is not to be worried more unless until the pregnancy issues are related or any discomfort mentally ,physically or otherwise.
Pills help regularising menstrual cycle, but its a prerequisite that u not suffering from weight or heart problems.Consult ur Dr.

Since you were on drug assistance, iit may take alittle more time for ovulation this time. But there is all possibility that ovulation would have taken place or just to happen. Safe days can be considered only when you have a regular cycle and be on some contraceptives, if you do not want immediate pregnancy than relying on "safe periods"

your ovulation should start up soon, and the only safe days are while you are menstruating, so use condoms now.

Consult any physician who can physicaly examine you and if necessary will prescibe longer pills. The safe days for you are the days when you do not have sex
