Have a light tan leather ottoman that my son wanted to write on with a blue permanent marker (sharpie). He also showed us his writing skills on his red and yellow leather chairs in his room, which was done in pen. Have tried a couple of mild soaps, but no success. Looking for something that will remove the marks and not damage the leather.

They don't call it permanent for nothing. The leather is permanently ruined.Leather is porous and will absorb the ink.Sorry!

we have used magic eraser to get sharpie off of all kinds of things. i also found out that sharpie comes off skin w/ baby oil so it might work on the leather as well.
