The Middle east has always been a source of striff and conflict. going back to biblical times, And will contiue to be until the end of time just happens that this is the first time since The Great War that the US has had to go over there and stay in a combat situation for any length of time

Ever since the prophet "Mohammed" suppossedly came to Earth in 700 AD, nothing productive has came from that part of the world.
The Islamic religion has been so successful at controlling the people, they can not think for themselve's. Their culture and their religion are so intertwined.
A seperation of "church and state" would be a good start.

Religion, after all this is a religious war. It started 200 years ago, and wont end till all religions die. What gets me is that all of these religions believe in the same God, they have the same principles, but they are fighting over something very stupid and that is which is the true religion. Seems to me if they were the true religion they shouldn't have to fight at all, they would be happy knowing it was them.

First off the "Middle East" is kind of huge so you need to ask a more specific question. If your talking about the war/fight(?) between Israel and Lebanon then Hezbollah(sp?) is responsible.

Everybody connected with the Middle East. People are a selfish lot, politicians, businessmen, priests, religious fanatics, etc. etc. Everybody wants it their way, there is no give and take, only take.
