I am 27 year old female, 5'4". Lately I have been having difficulty breathing. I would have to yawn multiple times to be able to catch my breath. this usually happens in the evenings, I am perfectly fine in the morning. Also, I get some pain in my chest (where the rib cage meet in the middle) when ever I yawn to get the oxygen into my body. I am not sure if I may have respiratory problems or heart problems. In addition, I have cramps at night that is very very painful. You can literally see my stomach bulging out when I get cramps. It would be so painful that I have to curl up like a fetus to help relieve the pain but sometimes that doesn't even help.

Please someone give me some advice. Or let me know I am not the only one.

Please make an appointment with a doctor as soon as you can. I am not a health professional and I don't mean to scare you, but it doesn't sound good.

You really must see a doctor for a diagnosis. Your symptoms are too severe to self-diagnose and treat.

Some ideas I would suggest, because I have had similar symptoms, is that you see if you have a problem with your esophageal muscles. If acid or bile from your stomach is leaking into your esophagus, it could be aspirated into your lungs and burning your esophagus thereby making it hard for you to breathe.

At the very least, you need to be checked for GERD. It could easily be caused by something else, but I had similar symptoms that were alleviated by treatment for acid reflux. OTC treatments were inadequate as I had burned both my esophagus (3rd degree burns) and lungs. I, too, yawned a lot, had difficulty breathing (my esophagus was swollen almost shut!) and had pain in my chest. It was always worse at night when I was lying down.

Please check it out in case you have this condition. It's worth it. Really.

I can relate with the having to yawn a bunch to get your breath, that happens to me a lot and is very annoying. But, it doen't happen on a DAILY basis.
I'm sorry, I can't relate to the cramping part though. Get a check up.
