Well...when it comes to "classic" horror, I always like "Abbott and
Costello meet Frankenstein." Lugosi plays it straight as the
definitive Dracula, and Lon Chaney Jr's presence add old world
classic horror. Bud and Lou get the gags rolling but never at the
expense of the horror element. In its day a unique film
combining not only horror and humour, but also showcasing
some of "the day's" biggest box office stars.
Good Luck
Jimmy

The Shining is the BEST in my opinion, but I LOVED Rosemary's Baby. For those others who posted Rosemary's Baby, you should definitely read the book. It was, as is usually the case, much better than the movie.
Recent horror movies that I liked The Others, The Skeleton Key, The Sixth Sense, and Stir of Echoes. But I love the ghosty, haunted, supernatural type movies.

I liked Alien & Aliens, Rosemary's Baby, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Evil Dead 1-3, Gingersnaps, Am. Werewolf in London and Scanners...
"Brain Damage" is really twisted too.
