I used to be an investment consultant for a national bank, but switched over from the retail sector and became a desk jockey. I've had my Series 7 & 66 licenses almost a year now, but since I'm still working with the same bank, they dropped my licenses since I don't utilize them in the new position. Any way I can "park" them with another financial institution?

I don't remember exactly how long because it's been quite a number of years since I left the business, but when I first left for another industry, I was allowed to retain my license for a period of time.

If you find work in the securities area within that time, you will probably have to fill out some paperwork all over again, but not retake the tests. If you go beyond that time, then you'll loose the license and have to start all over again.
