I know, this is quite the time for discussions regarding the Middle East conflict.
In the movie, Kingdom of Heaven, Ibellin and Saladin meet under a truce to discuss a possible surrender of Jerusalem..
Ibellin says "Before I lose it, I will burn it to the ground. Your holy places - ours. Every last thing in Jerusalem that drives men mad. "
to which Saladin replies, "I wonder if it would not be better if you did."

two men tired and wanting to go back to the simple life,makes more sense if your educated on the real subject matter of the movie
