Only your doctor can tell you what your lift limit should be..he/she would be able to recommend what it is to be depending on your health..consider sleeping on your left side, the body gets better circulation from the heart when you sleep..

You can probably lift a little more than 10 lb. while pregnant and not harm yourself. It's after having a c-section that you're restricted to not lifting anything heavier than 10 lb. You can continue to sleep on your stomach until it becomes uncomfortable, although sleeping on your left side is recommended...better blood flow for you and baby.

Only if directed by your doctor should you have a weight limit. You can sleep on your stomach at this point in pregnancy, but it would be better if you start getting into the habit of sleeping on your side. Sleeping on your left side is better.

I'm 19 weeks pregnant with twins, and will carry my 4 yr old son to bed if he falls asleep on the couch early. No problems.

Yes, and if you are pregnant you should not want to lift anything anyway this is 9 months for you to be treated like a queen. Why should you lift something heavy and put that precious baby at risk? Don't lift anything just relax read baby books, mother magazines and go shopping as much as possible it's more cathargic

You should continue doing everything to where doing before you got pregnant. Lifting, sleeping on your stomache & things like this your body is already use to doing & will not hurt or harm the fetus. This goes with the exception of smoking, drugs, etc of chorse. Keep in mind that if you have a major concerns you should talk to you doctor about them.

Yes it is true you need to stay away from lifting anything more then 10lbs. Also my doctor told me when I was 3 months pregnant that it wasnt nessary for me to begin sleeping on my side yet but I had already started sleeping on my side just becuase I have always sleeped on my stomach and I wanted to try to get comforable on my side as soon as I could

Sleeping on your stomach is fine as long as you are comfortable with it. With my first, I was on my stomach until I was almost 6 months, thats when she "popped" out and I had the preggo belly. With my second I was only on my tummy until I was about 18-20 weeks.
The weight limit is just so your not straining yourself trying to do things. Your going to have enough baby wieght to carry, no sense in trying to pick up something more than 10 pounds.

It really depends on what your doc. says because all pregnant woman are different. You may have some complications or some other reason not to lift a x amount of pounds but I wouldn't lift any more than you fill safe with or over 30lbs.

if you have other children it's kind of hard to avoid lifting things over 10 lbs. ask your doc. i know a woman who is a postal worker and carried her very very heavy mailbag her entire pregnancy, it actually depends more on what kind of shape you are in. there is no gold standard. and yes, you can sleep on your stomach as long as it is comfortable.

Should avoid as long as possible to lift loads with one hand during pregnency. When it starts showing you will not be able to sleep on your stomach
