Is it the scent, the bottle, the name, or the price? Did I miss any other consideration?

I think that most women consider the price, scent, and the packaging. When ever I want to try out a new perfume (or body spray) I wear it to work and see what others say about it. I work around 1400 people and I can usually get some pretty good feedback that way.

Scent is the most important and if smells good on you. 2nd is what mood I am in or what mood I want to put someone in. I have several different kinds of perfume pricing from 5 dollars a bottle to $150.00 a 1/2 ounce. As for the bottle, I do not wear it and very few people see it, so I do not care what it looks like. If a man wants to buy a perfume for a woman go to a better store and tell the person at the counter the age of the woman you are buying for and smell several different scents. What do the scents make you think about. Being playful, Grandma, the great outdoors, sex, food, etc, then pick the scent you like. Nothing too heavy.

The most important is the scent. The next thing that I'll be looking at is the price and the bottle. BUT, if you are trying to attact buyers, and the brand is not well-known or yet established its stand in the market, the package (bottle) is important. As a buyer, I get attracted to beautiful/exquisite/unique bottles/packaging when shopping for perfume. But most of the times I was disappointed as my expectation for its scent is not fulfilled. Still, to attract buyers, I believe and think that the product's packaging is important. But ultimately, you've gotta have the scents that women like, and as human, there are my different likes.

Well I consider scent and that is pretty much it. Now it just so happens that I like expensive scents but I like inexpensive scents as well. If you are buying for a girl and you don't know what she likes I would smell perfume samples and decide for yourself which scent you like best and is in your price range.

Good luck! and don't worry!

Most normal women do not buy cheap or drugstore perfume. 1st comes scent, if the bottle is pretty that doesn't hurt eithier. I know few ladies who choose perfumes by the name alone that is a scary thought.

I choose for scent. Everything else is trivial...Why bother with a fancy bottle or huge price tag if you don't like the smelll? Also, nothing overpowering..

When i buy perfume i tend to spend a little more just because i want to make sure that when my husband is kissing me good night he nuzzles into my neck and tells me i smell good.even hours after it's applied.so i guess i look for duration endurance.
