this is something that i can not understand. after WW1 the west, mainly england and the US, gives palestinian land that was under british occupation to the jews to establish the state of israel. the palestinian people and their land went from a british occupation to an israeli occupation. in the process GOD knows how many thousands have been killed and more had to leave their homecountry and lands to live as refugees until this day. in their place thousands of jewish immigrants came from europe and the rest of the world to live on ARAB land and make israel what it is.
i still cant understand what gave the west and the jewish people the right to do so?
u might say this was a long time ago. does that make it OK?
u might say its israel "GOD given land". in that case, who truly is the religious extremist?

I agree with u completely. If you talk of legitimacy... they have none. It is a defacto state, exists because they have force... Had this state evolved with time and become accommodating for all people including the Palestinians who live there or previously did, may be one could have a slightly more accommodating opinion. But it is based on pure race and segregation.
It is difficult to understand how western notions of humanism change in this regard.
Defending Israel its like saying racism, communalism and apartheid is fine in certain cases
One can understand Jewish insecurity after the Holocaust and the fears of extermination but they are not ensuring their welfare by being fascistic and isolationist. They are making themselves to be even more hated and morally ugly.
U cannot cheat the world for ever.

If that is the case then no one can claim any land. Israel has been recognized by most of the nations. Many Jews and other Semites lived in that land peacefully. It is true that the fault lies with the British just like the Kashmir issue. It has been almost 50 years. If the other Middle Eastern countries recognize Israel's right to exist the problem will go away. They can all live in peace. If the other Middle Eastern nations so care about the Palestinians then why can't they give them land to live on? Many of them treat the Palestinians as second-class citizens.

When Palestine was a British Protectorate after WW1the British Government made a proclamation called the Balfour Declaration to allow the Jews to create a homeland in the Middle East. It is believed that this was made because of the powerful zionist lobby in England at the time. The Jewish Lobby in America is very powerful and is supported by the Christian Right so America always backs Israel

OK who said it was only Arab soil? Well after millions of Jews were killed during the Holocaust (you probably don't believe the Holocaust happened, from the tone of your question) the US and Brits were trying to make up for the fact that they didn't react quickly enough during WWII (which lead to the extermination of millions of Jews) and they decided to help repatriate people of Jewish background to the land of Israel. Was it OK that lots of Palestinians were taken from their land? Of course not, but Christ people need to get on with this already. Just freaking co-exist with eachother, acknowledge injustices that have been committed and for Gods sake don't create WW III. And seriously, your question is absurd! "What gives Israel the right to exist in the Middle East"? Seriously what gives you the right to think Israel should not exist? With questions like this ****, of course this problem will never be solved. The Arabs will always hate the Jews and the Jews will always hate the Arabs. What a big ******* mess.

You aren't exactly correct!! It definitely wasn't Palestinian land!
Under the rule of the Ottoman Empire (1517-1917), the religious communities in Palestine operated under the so-called "millet system," whereby each religion determined issues of personal status such as marriage, divorce, burial and inheritance according to its own religious practices. Under this system, the Jewish, Christian and Muslim communities established religious councils, generally appointed by the Ottoman government.
Under the British Mandate (1917-1948), Ottoman religious community policy continued. The Jewish community of Palestine was headed by a Rabbinical Council, led by Sephardic and Ashkenazic chief rabbis, who were elected by an assembly of rabbis and lay people. The Council in turn appointed members of rabbinical courts throughout the country. Under Ottoman and then British rule, Rabbinical Councils were comprised solely of Orthodox clergy. Marriage, divorce, and other issues of personal status were determined strictly on the basis of halacha (Jewish law).
Pre British, and even during, the land was divided up by the Ottoman Empire iv the 1500's It belonged to them and they are the ones who allocated it!

I agree with you. It is a terrible situation. If God exist how can his "beloved" people act out like this? In the name of God they are harrassing and acting worse than ever. If God does not exist, well - I can't find words for it!

Israel was home of the Jews until the Romans conquered them. what right did the Romans have to exist in Israel, what right did the ottoman empire have to exist in Israel, what right did the united kingdom have to exist in Israel, what right did the Arabs have to exist in Israel. in all country's it is not about right to exist, it is about the power to remain in control of the land as we do in the U .S.
