Shampoo is actually MUCH milder soap than normal hand soap and many body washes. If you want to use Shampoo to wash your body, go ahead! Its perfectly safe. Use one with a moisturizer even to make your skin soft and smooth.

Is this because you cannot afford both? Or dont have enough time to shampoo and then lather up with soap? I use Philosophy brand shampoo that is actually a 3-in-1. It is Shampoo & conditioner & body wash all in one.

They make them in incredibly delicious scents, like Cinnamon Bun, Strawberry Milkshake, Waffle Cone etc. They actually smell exactly like what they are supposed to. I get it from the Sephora website, since they dont sell it up here in Alaska. Down in the "source" section I added the link to my favorite one, the Strawberry Milkshake.

I do it all the time! My doctor actually recommended I use a mild shampoo like Suave or Vo5 on my skin because it is more Ph Balanced than face soap. My favorite thing to do is put shampoo on a "poof" and lather it up real good--it's "faster" than soap because it make a heck of a lot more bubbles--and it's cheaper than body wash!

My mom and I were forced to do this on vacation one time (because we forgot to bring body soap)
We ended up breaking out in a horrible rash all over our bodies. The doctor was positive that using shampoo to wash with was the cause of the rash.
I cannot remember what brand we used, sorry!

Shampoo is soap and I think it is an ok way to wash in the shower or bath with it. It is however expensive and there are some cheaper ways (generic shower gels and things) that would work as well too.

Sure you can. Basically what any type of soap does is just lower the surface tension of the water so it can get closer to your skin/hair and clean it. It is actually the water that cleans your skin or hair, not the soap.

no, shampoo is formulated to clean your hair. Hair & skin need to be treated differently...would you use bar soap to wash your hair??
