Well, your question is cunningly worded so that you can't give examples (unless I misunderstand it).

All extant presently living primate species have been classified. All KNOWN extinct primates species are classified into a group as soon as they are first described by scientists.

Therefore the only primate species that became extinct and aren't classified are those (probably a large number) whose fossils we have not found yet, or who do not exist in the fossil record.

Sorry - no answer possible.

LET,S CONSIDER YOUR QUESTION; ITS ACTUALLY TWO PART # 1 BEING DID PRIMATE SPECIES BECOME EXTINCT PRIOR TO BEING CLASSIFIED? THE ANSWER HERE IS YES AS PRIMATES HAVE BEEN AROUND LONG BEFORE THE EVOLUTION OF MAN. SECOND PART YOU ASKED TO NAME THE EXAMPLES WELL IF THEY WERE EXTINCT BEFORE MAN COULD CLASSIFY THEM, THEN THEY WERE NEVER CLASSIFIED AND THE ONLY EXAMPLES WE COULD QUOTE ARE THOSE THAT HAD BEEN CLASSIFIED SO THE EXAMPLES YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ARE IN FACT " YET TO BE CLASSIFEID!"

Any species that became extinct more than 1,000 years ago obviously became extinct before they were classified.

Basically, any ancient primate, such as the cro-magnon man.
