Lately, I been different. All I want to do is taste blood. I keep almost... craving it. Is there something wrong with me that I want to drink blood? Is this a phase or something? Please seriously no joking, I'm a little scared by this. If you have something mean to say, please keep it to yourself, it's hard enough to deal with.

Also I'm not a cannibal, because the whole I idea completely disgusts me. That's what's even weirder about my question.

No I don't want to cut anyone up or anything. I'm not going to go buy some blood or anything. I'm not that stupid.

It sounds like you might be obsessing a bit. If you look up "vampirism," you get referred to Renfield Syndrome ("the obsession to drink blood"). And Renfield Syndrome is said to be a form of obsessive-compulsive disorder and ADHD. If that's the case, Wikipedia says it "can be treated with several proven medications, and by personal awareness of the condition."

If a check-up doesn't show any physical causes, you might try investigating the OCD/ADHD idea. See the link below.

(I wouldn't play around with uncooked blood from raw meat from the store. Exposure to E coli bacteria and all that. I'm not a shrink or a doctor, by the way.)

So taste some blood. If you are saying that you want to pretend that you're a vampire, or something then get real. If, on the other hand, you just have some healthy curiosity about the taste of blood -go for it. I expect that having tasted it, you will quickly get beyond this.
WARNING !!! Do not cut yourself to get blood! That is a whole other problem, and is very dangerous to both your physical & mental health. What you can do is just go to the store, and buy some raw meat. Almost all raw meat has some blood in the package. Let that warm up to room temp, and drink it. Drinking it iced is cheating -it supresses the flavor.
You have a brain. You are probably smarter than average, and you are creating some minor drama, because you might think that people will oppose your drinking of blood. Don't worry - just be willing to accept the consequences of your choice. please post your reaction here and let us know if you dig it, or throw up.
Enjoy!

There is a very rare health disorder that has been known to cause that. I am sorry but I cannot recall the name of it off the top of my head. You may want to talk to a doctor about it though as it can be dangerous to your health if the symptoms increase. I know there is the proverbial "vampire disorder" ~ IE: porphyria cutanea tarda, but you haven't described any other symptoms so I don't know if that's the name you should be looking at (Nor am I a doctor to even be able to say it is). Either way, you need to talk to someone (Doctor/Therapist) that knows how to help you properly. Good Luck!!

Well, if you are serious, it could be some variant of an
iron deficiency - though it usually takes less prosaic
symptomologies.

Have you tried a simple vitamin? Is it possible you are
anemic? Do you feel light headed?

If you are really serious, I would say you need to see your
doctor as soon as possible. In any case, do not consume
human blood or any non sterilized blood unless it is your
own as the possibilities for diseases are staggering.

And drinking your own blood is not likely to sate you
as you presumably are having to harvest prior to consuming
it.

I dont know what this means. Maybe your just craving a medium-rare steak. Or maybe you have been cut in the mouth and enjoy the taste. One of my friends when I was younger liked it when she bled in the mouth. Unless you feel its controlling you and making you want to do things that are bad, I wouldnt totally freak out. Just make sure you keep in check. If you feel really bad about it, consider a counselor. It always feels better to talk about things with someone, especially if they can help. Pray about it and have a steak. I hope you feel better.

It might be like a need for iron in the blood.
Some people eat meat almost raw.
See, and tell your Dr about it.

Blood is a persons , or animals Life Force.
Read
Leviticus 17:10-14
of the King James Bible to see what God says about it.

You have a hidden desire for this fantasy and it is making you think that you really want to do this. In reality NO ONE wants to drink blood. Your stomach cannot digest it and it coagulates (lumps up) and turns black from the stomach acids. If you were to drink enough, let's say a small glass of it, it would make you vomit.
Now that sounds like fun to me !!!
Hey gang! Let's all puke coagulated blood...

So you need to rid yourself of this potentially sickening fantasy.

I think you are just curious, but your sane is protecting you from doing it, which make you even curious and feel the urge to do it. The more we're keeped from something, the more we're trying to reach it. You probably spend too much time thinking about it and became obsessed. Just do something else, you'll forget it eventually.
