Of course he still has a chance. He just needs to keep plugging out the Top 10 finishes. Matt Kenseth was further out at this time last year and he made the Chase for the Championship.

yes, he's 14th in points with 8 to go until the chase. but he can't afford more DNFs, he needs to start scoring some top 10s
