Sovereign nations generally have the right not to be attacked by their neighbors.
What does Israel receive for free? Suicide bombers? Rocket attacks? Kidnapped soldiers? Neighboring countries wanting to "wipe them off the face of the map"? My guess is that they would rather pass on that.

Israel was just to go to war. Every country would do they same if soldiers snuck into their country and kidnapped their soldiers. What were they supposed to do let all of their soldiers get kidnapped?
