It's still too early to buy, but big tech companies are going to turn around some time. eBay, Intel, and Cisco (EBAY, INTC, CSCO) aren't going away, but they are out of fashion now. Some day they will come back in style. I expect Whole Foods Market (WFMI) to recover some time also.

The alternative energy stocks I follow are acting strange. Oil prices are setting records, but these stocks are ignoring what should be good news for them. I expect this will change soon, with or without a general market rally. Check out FuelCell Energy (FCEL) and Ballard Power (BLDP).

buy small trucking/ground transportation/delivery stocks. they seem to be getting bought out by bigger companies and when this happens, the prices go up really fast. remember not to sell if the price goes down, rather sell after you have made at least a 20% return. look at historical data for "ovnt" and "cdv"

good luck.
