If it is not illegal and it doesn't affect or hurt you then why care? How about we just worry about what is going on our own lives, thus making it better, and in turn making us less of an *sshole to others?

Because far too many people need to justify their beliefs by imposing them on others. Too many people aren't sure enough about what they believe, and the only way they can feel righteous is to make sure everyone else conforms. Then, their actions are justified.

It's sad that people don't believe in free will and freedom of choice. It's a shame that too man religions think that anyone who wants to believe differently is a threat, or that anyone who doesn't conform to their beliefs should be punished.

This country started out trying to allow people to be free. But it made a classic mistake, and forgot that power corrupts. Majority rule is just another way of enacting might-makes-right. The majority says: there are more of us than there are of you, so everyone has to do what we want.

People don't feel in control of their own lives, so they want to amass as much power as they can. That comes through religions, and corporations, and political parties. Then, those power blocks try to enforce their own particular viewpoints, so that the people who started them don't feel so helpless and alone.

I wish everyone had the confidence of their beliefs to allow others to disagree with them without feeling threatened. I pray that people finally grow up and stop treating every difference as a threat. Maybe then we, as a species, can start working to solve actual problems like hunger and disease and pollution, rather than bickering amongst ourselves over which end of the hard-boiled egg to open first.

Easy: don't worry stop that. Just care: start that...u are right stop being assholes people Seems like people will be assholes because they somehow think it will help them. A giant WRONG! In fact it does the projector more harm than those they seek to victimize.
But overall I see your email is just asking people to stop trying to control others and start living your own life. Novel idea there folks, try living your own life for a change...you might find some happiness there..in fact that is the only place you can find it.

There is a sign on my porch that says 'You sweep your porch, I'll sweep mine" I'm with you, I'm busy with my own life, I don't really care who is doing what with whom. I don't watch Jerry Springer, or read tabloid papers either.

Mind your own business is a motto that works for me. But we are the minority. Such is life.
