hey there
I'm from Sydney Australia and of course love my Socceroo's. I had a blast watching so many teams this year . There were so many that surprised me. I kind of had the opposite experience of yourself. Here in Oz the games were on between 1 and 5 am so my two daughters and I had to sit up and watch them all. They would sleep and I would wake them up half an hour before, we run out make our hot chocolate(coffee in my case n loads of it) get our snacks and munchies and all huddle up together in the water bed to watch all the matches. It was really funny as I would be talking to them or blowing up about things turn to them and they would have fallen asleep...oh the fun of it all. I don't know the time difference between Australia and Sth Africa, but I hope it isn't as bad as this time. I was so sleep deprived I was calling my kids by the wrong names in the end...lol

Hi, i'm from Mumbai,INDIA.
My best WC experience was this watching this WC. There were so many great matches. It was really an eye-candy. My favourite match was Australia's 3-1 late comeback against Japan.
We in India could watch the matches at timings of 18:30 to 03:00. Believe me, i watched all the matches.

I think it should be SPAIN who should lift the trophy. Every WC, experts say this is the Spanish team that will win, but have always been wrong. SPAIN have great talent in every department of the game, but luck is what they dont have.

As far WC 2010 South Africa is concerned, YOU dont have to worry about the timings of matches as they would probably be just about 1 hour earlier than Germany 2006 (If played as per WC 2006 schedule)

I'm from Italy, and I live in the USA. My favorite soccer experience has actually been watching this World Cup, and Italy winning it!!! I'm too young to remember when they won it in 1982 in Spain, and I'm so happy that I could witness it this year-- even though on TV.

I'd like to see an African team win a World Cup one day, or Australia. Or Mexico, and even the USA. Just for a change. It's always either a South American or a European team...

I live in Anchorag, Alaska (that is in the United States for those who do not know). I have only really watched two world cups, this one and the last one. My favorite soccer game that I have watched live was the United States 2-0 win over Mexico in the 2002 World Cup (dont worry, I know the United States isn't very good and stuff, but that win still made me happy). In South Africa 2010, the big underdog who I really, really want to do very well is Ivory Coast.

I'm originally from Italy living in Canada, my team is Italy...Ya I'd have to agree that the last world cup in Korea/Japan was really out of wack with the time difference..I'd make it an all nighter since the game was on at 5:00 am.
Obviously I would like Italy to win the next world cup again...but I'd like to see Australia qualify again and hopefully they'll have better luck!

I'm from the tiny twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago but I won't say that my favourite football moment was seeing them play at the world cup.The team did well at the world cup but I still think that they could've done better. That's life!My favourite moment though was the day we qulaified for the world cup, we were the last team out of the 32 teams to qulaify and the smallest country ever to qulafy for the world cup. We played Bahrain. That day, classes were cut short and my entire school watched the match together, offices closed, etc, just about everybody(1 million people to be exact) watched the match and then we won and it was like a street parade for the nest couple days. We even got a public holiday the next day. Everyone was proud to be a 'trini' that day!

I have been a soccer fan since I was a kid. So when I got to work for a professional soccer team in the USA it was a dream come true. My greatest experiences have been watching ROY KEANE (Republic of Ireland), ZINEDINE ZIDANE (France), DAVID BECKHAM (England), and many other favorite players play in different World Cups over the years. Another great moment was meeting Sir Rodney Marsh (England / Tampa Bay Rowdies) while working in professional soccer.

I am from Malaysia, somewhere in south east asia. none of the world cup matches was before 9 so i had to stay up late and got to skool the next day. Another thing, football is certainly not a gay sport.

I'm born and raised (unfortunately) in the US.

As far as teams, for this world cup Italia was my pick from the very beginning. I'm really interested in seeing how the African teams do though.
