That should be FINE.
Tylenol has been running TV ads stating that they don't want you to take their product if you will not follow the directions on their packaging.

You should not take anymore Tylenol in the next 24hrs. One extra strength Tylenol would have been enough based on your body weight. So you have taken a full days worth in one dose. Contray to what the others wrote, it does not take years to do damage to your liver. You can do serious damage by just overdosing one time. You have NOT overdosed though, as long as you do not take and more ACETOMINAPHIN (Tylenol). Check any other meds before you take them, for Tylenol. There are treatments for Tylenol overdose, but trust me its nasty. It is one of my least favorite treatments to administer. So be very careful in the future. If one Tylenol does not work try Ibuprofen ( about 400mg. 2 little brown ones)

I believe one extra strength Tylenol is 800 miligrams. 800 x 3 = 2,400. You have to ask yourself questions like how much do you weigh and read the directions for recommended amounts. If your a grown man who weighs 200 lbs with a terrible and painful injury you will be fine. If you weigh considerably less, drink a lot of water. Like 8 cups in the next 4 hours. When in doubt call a physician.

Extra strength tylenol is about 500mg of acetaminophen per capsule/tablet/caplet. Acetaminophen poisoning in healthy individuals requires a high level in the body for an extended period of time - such as taking 10 extra strength tyenol daily for several years. Acute poisoning is highly unlikely unless you have access to a hospital-sized bottle. Because it's metabolized by the liver, these numbers will be lower for individuals with liver damage/disease, but three every now and then is not likely to be harmful.

No, you'll be fine. The major concern is that you will take another drug in conjunction with Tylenol causing a dangerous combination of effects. By limiting how much is in your system, they can say that their product is safe to use with many other medications. So long as you aren't combining drugs, you'll be fine (you can actually take quite a few, the lethal dose is astronomically high for Tylenol).

Too much Tylenol is in fact, bad news for the bod. Start drinking water. 3 is probably not enough to cause a real danger, but over time, taking 3 at a time will wear your liver down. Seriously.

Once, I had a terrible toothache. (I was tempted to knock the thing out myself). I took 4 extra strength Tylenol, then worried I had overdosed. It just made my stomach cramp a bit. 3 is fine!!! Hope you feel better.

RECENT NEWS REPORTS--OVER- USE OF TYLENOL LINKED TO LIVER DAMAGE:
In a new study, people who took the maximum recommended daily dose of acetaminophen (Tylenol) for four days showed changes in blood tests that can signal liver damage.

You have built up an immunity to it. It takes more, and more. Try a different pain reliever for a while. I have the same problem with Ibuprofen. I need a stronger dose every once and a while. When I was at school, my friend gave me the min. dose of Advil, liquid capsules. It nearly knocked me out.

Hospital and doctor's offices will prescribe up to 800mg of Tylenol or Advil for pain and have the patient take it every 6-8 hours needed for pain.
If the pain continues than I would call your doctor and make an appointment.
