What other vitamins or supplements are good to take while trying to conceieve?

I take a prenatal vital, a folic acid supplement, and those new chocolate calcium chews for women, they actually taste good and each chew has 50% of your daily calcium need, and they taste just like tootsie rolls.They are also fortified with Vitamin D and K for calcium absorbtion. You should be proud of yourself for taking your baby's nutrition so seriously, good for you.

You don't need *any* supplements unless you have a vitamin or mineral deficiency. They won't help you in any way. The only reason that folic acid is always recommended is that being on hormonal birth control causes a folic acid deficiency. If you have a healthy diet and haven't been using hormones, you don't need it...or anything else! Taking a vitamin supplement you *don't* need and can't absorb won't help you in any way...but you'll have the healthiest toilet in town!!

Iron & calcium are always a good idea for any woman. I would say your best bet is to get a good over-the-counter pre-natal vitamin. They have pretty much all the supplements that you will specifially need. Also, try to eat a good balanced diet w/ plenty of fruits & vegitables.

its never to early to take a pregnancy or breastfeeding vitamin formula...it has the folic acid as well as other suppiments that can do you nothing but good...
good luck...just relax and let nature take its course...
