Go to the doctor. It sounds like you have depression.

Dear heart, life is always worth living because although you may be having problems that seem too difficult. There is no problem that can not be solved. Depression can be treated easily as it is a chemical imbalance in the brain. Go to your doctor and get some anti-depressants. If you can't do that, I remember this movie about a girl who take her life because she broke up with her boyfriend, her best friend hurt her feelings, her parents ignored her. It turned out her boyfriend was going with her best friend to buy her a ring. Her parents were planning a surprise party. As they wept over her, she kept thinking if only I waited another day. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. I believe that you will have the same feelings for eternity. You pretend you feel like living, put a smile on your face, get out from this computer and you plant a sunflower seed and you water it and you watch it grow. You learn something new. You go fly a kite or roll down a grassy hill. You don't ever give up on life. You view the glass half full and you put your trust and faith in God. Life isn't easy, but it will get better every day. You just keep trying' and pick yourself up and try again. You say to yourself life thou art well. I won't let life get me down and you live because the world needs you to live, and i promise you there are so many wonderful exciting adventures waiting for you if you just give yourself a chance.

You have lost interest in "Living". I can tell you that perhaps the one thing you need to do is this...

Change your perspective on what it means to live. Look, if your current "IDEA" of living revolves around sitting in front of a computer all day... I'm sorry, you haven't lived. There are roads to many places that are full of life and the joy of this world. You just have to let it into your mind. I believe your feelings are deep rooted in a lack of satisfaction in "your" life that keeps you from seeing the simple things that are magnificent. Being able to see, feel , taste, hear and smell. You feel that life is unfair and that you have tried everything to satisfy that sense of urgency for life... Considering your question you haven't found it yet. A few suggestions...
1) Go somewhere you've never been before and try to enjoy the journey, not focus on the destination, but the journey
2) Eat at a fancy restaurant, dress up and treat yourself to something you've never tried.
3) Go and read things that may interest you.

There is a saying "If you find yourself disinterested in something, immerse yourself in it and you will find the interest in it" Try it and email me... let me know how it goes... life is always interesting to me. Not always positive, but always interesting.

Definitely seek counseling! I'm no expert, but I'd say you're suffering from clinical depression. Might be bad brain chemistry which there are drugs for (although I'm not a big advocate for medicating depression), or maybe you just have not yet found your true self and your life's purpose. We all have a pure essence and a connection with God (or Higher Power, Force, etc) but not all of us are well connected with this part of us. When we are disconnected from our soul, we feel lost, unhappy, hopeless and life seems to be just a chore... in other words, we just survive day to day. I'm struggling with this right now myself, I get glimpses of my true self, but I've lived my life in such a way for so long that I get stuck in "survival mode" and forget to listen to my spirit. You should try meditation if you haven't already to help get "connected". Be patient, your spirit will come through and will tell you what you should be doing to fulfill your soul's path. All you need to do is ask. If you are interested in spiritual counseling, and I don't mean talking to a priest or a rabbi, I mean more of a spiritual life coach who can help you connect with your spirit, check out www.healingcommunications.com. You might also find more info there to help you. God's Speed on your soul journey!

I lost my wife, my son, my home, my car, my job, she had an affair on me and i lost everything, at first it was the booze then it was the pills, after that it was bloody fighting, anything i could do to get away from the pain. My suggestion to you is to do something that you've never done before, you have to feel alive, before you can gain interest in living again!!!
I left town for 2.5 months to waskish, minnesota, I fished, I hunted and I raised horses, I met some of the best humans on the face of this earth their, not just that but when you go some place new and make an impact on people their they tend to shower you with great confidence building attention...

Make your own rewards. Volunteer work at a homeless shelter, soup kitchen, local animal shelter or even volunteering at a school can give you numerous rewards, albeit not monetary ones. Also try and find a hobby you enjoy. If you still are feeling as you have no interest in living, there are help lines you can call or see a therapist or even talk to a minister at a local church.

There's a concept called HOPE.. without it, we all would lose interest in living.
Normally we do have a survival instinct that will keep us fighting for life... but beyond that we, humans, need a strong motivation...
Invest yourself in someone else, find God... love others, there's a lot of good reasons worth living for. Sure the world is going to hell, but it don't need to drag you with it. Live not for yourself but for someone else.
Do a reality check, find out what is making you depressed.. I think you might be... and seek counsel and / or advice.. But above all... the ultimate reason for wanting to live is to have a HOPE of something.
Many find that in religion.. and they are content. I can't tell you what to do, you have to decide for yourself...

But if you want to begin your search, start with a lecture from the Bible -- the book of Eclesiastes... this guy describes something similar and you might find some similarities...

Without God nothing is worth living for, that's the main idea... so keep that in mind if it gets too depressing, in the end there's a resolve.

I hope it helps.
email me if you need to share your thoughts furthermore...

Get off the cross Mary, we need the wood!

One of three options here:

1. Find interest in it again.
2. Sit and wait for the end or help it find you faster.
3. Pull your head out and get on with living!

It is not written that you or anyone should or is supposed to have interest in living or in life or in anything else. You're here now, alive and a part of it, make a choice!

Do something good for some one else. You'll feel a sense of worth when you brighten up someone elses life.

And make sure you don't show up in speedos. Depending on who answers the door you might end up in the can.

Change the channel... No, seriously...find something funny to spend some time on. It can lift your spirits. You cannot have possibly read all the good books, listened to all the good music, seen all the good art, or movies, yet... how about making a list?? Also, maybe you could say a prayer?? As trite as it sounds, smile a little.

You have lost interest in living? Find others who would love to live the good life and are struggling. Volunteer. Find those who need you and reach out. Life isn't about you and your problems. Once you become part of the solution for others, it will all fall into place. I'd like to tell you to check out your church (some of us have lost the faith in recent years...) - and I hope you will - but the main thing is to find a way to help others.
