I am wanting an e-mail and AIM. Will it cost to get these?

So I can sign up with AIM for free? I won't need an AOL address?

You can get and join AIM for free. AOL uses a type of email that only AOL users can decode because they have AOL software on their computer and pay for it.
You can get free email at HotMail, Yahoo, Gmail and others.

DON'T DO IT!!!! Friends don't let friends use AOL! Once you start with them, they will never let you go. Seriously, it's easier to get out of a marriage than to cancel AOL once you've discovered that you really don't need them. The customer service department will actually ARGUE with you for half an hour, and it takes forever to get all that junk off your computer! Save yourself the trouble, please. Learn from my hellish experience!

if you get aim its free and you get a e-m,ail address with it but whatever you do in life don't ever get AOL they suck and try to take over your computer AIM is ok but not full blown AOL

If AOL is your ISP this is free. If you are not part of AOL, it costs about $25 month.
