omg yes... the chorine in the water removes mosture from your skin... you may not realize it when you are swimming but after you are dry for a couple hours you will notice it... the itchyness is from the skin that is irratated from being dry... try some nivea lotion if its real bad or just some baby lotion if its not too bad... that will solve your itchy skin problem

Sounds like you might be genetically weak. I swam in the pool everyday, for 8 hours a day, from the time I was 6 to 16 during the summer. I never got itchy skin, you may have picked up a fungus that is immune to the chlorine, go to a dermatologist just to be sure.

That's allot of Chlorine! Yes your skin is also dehydrated. Try a 1/2 cup of Baking Soda in your bath to balance your PH, then use a nce mild moisture lotion.

Yes! especially if you don't take a shower immediatly afterwards to get all the bacteria off your body. Also your skin will itch from all the sun a couple of days afterwards. Or if you used a type of tanning lotion that had the tingle factors in it will cause your skin to itch also.

Yjou'd better believe it. Take a shower right after and use Dove or a body wash with a moisturizer.

Yes,that's a chemical, and it can make you itch. And I don't suggest swimmming 6 hours straight.

Put oil on your body before swimmin in chlorine so your skin doesn;t dry out. And for the men...make sure you put plenty on your hotdog, we want to keep that smooth and silky soft during normal hours.

yes, the cholrine reacts with your skin and over time can cause u to itch. diff ppl react to it differently as some itch right when they get in and others don't at all. (same idea as chlorine pools drying out or stinging eyes)

Yes, definitely. The chlorine doesn't effectively kill all germs, but it helps. You need to wash the chlorine off periodically.
