NO, yahoo is a site that you can trust. Sites like amazon.com, cnn.com and others are ok. As long as they are well know sites, you can be pretty sure there are not viruses. But when you search for stuff on sites like yahoo and google, the sites that they display may have viruses. So careful where you click. And use FireFox since it much better and is not suceptable to viruses like Internet Explorer.

Actually you can get ads, spyware, Trojans, or viruses, just being hooked to the Internet not surfing anywhere. That's why you need a firewall, and virus protection, not to mention the Ad-Aware...
These three links are full of free information, Please help keep it free by donating funds... A buck from everyone of the 10,000 people that have had help from here would keep them happy...

no its not, you need to ask people for reference. Some people give website addresses here that have a lot of adwares and trojans like http://www.games.com That site is FULL of adwares. You shouldnt download just anything unless you know the site has people who visit it often and never complained.
You should get some free antivirus protections like http://www.avast.com or http://www.grisoft.com/doc/1
I usually use mcafee because I paid for it, but the free ones can be used if you really dont want your computer totally vulnerable for attacks.

You get viruses from downloading things from the internet, not from viewing on major web pages. You can get them from sites made just to infect you, but not the big ones. You can also get them from attachments to email.
If you are not running a current virus protection program get one because, if not, you are going to get one sooner or later.
I do not care how computer savvy you are, if you do not want viruses, there is one way. Get protection.
