Skype is great you can dial any number in the us and make phone calls for free. I used it when my phone got disconnected to call my bank, lawyer, school, sister........it is soooooo interesting

I only use AIM because other friends use it. I hate the updates trying to get people to install weatherbug and aol internet services. MSN is pretty good, except its run by MS, so kinda evil in that regards. I use to use ICQ religously but not so much any more, now that I think about it...
I havent tried skype so no opinion there, I would like to download a messanger to merge all of them, but im lazy like that.

AIM or MSN for American users. Alot of people use it, so when youtalk to most people they'll have aim or msn. I would lean toward aim myself. So when youmake friends on-line you can stay intouch with them with these messangers. All messangers are pretty much the same, itjust depends what more popular so that you can keep intouch with more people.
