Try waxing, it may hurt the first time, but it doesn't give you those bumps & over time less hair will grow back. Just make sure to exfoliate you legs often so you don't get ingrowns.

You should exfoliate, exfoliate and exfoliate. This will remove the dead skin cells and allow the new hair growth to puncture the skin without causing bumps. To minimize the bumbs always shave with the grain and use sensitive shaving foam if your skin is sensitive. Waxing will also cause the bumbs but with time they will become less common because the waxing will kill the hair follicles and reduce the hair numbers on your legs. If none of these are effective using an electric shaver like an Epilady or a women's shaver are the most effective depilation methods for avoiding bumbs and ingrown hairs. You just have to find a method which suits you and your skin.

It depends...do you shave against the grain, that is, do you shave in the opposite direction of hair growth? if so, try shaving in the direction of the actual hair growth. It stops irritation.
Do you use shaving gel/foam and a good razor? Do you change razors or the blades often? You may want to do that!
Also, shaving may just not be for you. NEET has really great hair removal products that do not involve shaving. Try one of those!
And finally, look for one of those bump clear up products. You can find them in the mens shaving areas especially.

You might want to check to see if your razor is old. Also try using a mans razor. Any razor companies make them better, because men use them on their faces. That's why they are more expensive then female razors. Also try a a sensitive shaving cream, again try men's cream. Plus always put lotion after a shave. that might do the trick.

Make sure you are using a shaving gel that is for sensitive legs. I had the same problem and Skintimate shave gel is very helpful to me and it comes in many different scents! Good luck.

Hi, go to www.wonderful.myarbonne.com and check out the NurtiMenC shaving gel....which is actually more like a lotion. I have started to shave with it and my skin has really cleared up on my legs.

My hairs improve in distinctive instructions too, which makes it necessary to shave in distinctive instructions. i won't be able to declare i've got had any challenge with ingrown hairs, yet possibly a distinctive hair removal could be a sturdy answer?
