no !
a job interview is not at all scarry.you just need to be yourself; that does all the magic. don't try to be someone you are not. if you are witty, be so in answering the questions too. let your interviewrs see who they are going to be employing; rather than posing as some Mr. Ideal. cause all employers are looking for people, who are confident of what they know; and ready to learn the remaining .
Good luck!and just go for the interview; you'll laugh out loud once you've faced an interview; cause you'll be really surprised to see how casual yet professional any interview is. So no need to worry so much

Yes, job interviews can be scary sometimes, But really they are not a lot to worry about. I've worked in Human Resources, so I've conducted about 500 interviews over the past few years.
First of all, you need to apply for work and you want to make sure you fill out everything completely on the application.
Then when you get the call for an interview:
1) make sure your clothes are neat and clearn. Your hair and nails are nicely trimmed and your shoes are in good shape (don't go in T-shirt and blue jeans unless they specifically tell you to do so).
2) Dress a step better than what the people do at the job. Perhaps what you might wear to a traditional church service.
But as for what will happen at the job interview, smile and be prepared for a lot of questions. What they are trying to do is to decide among all of the applicants who will be the most successful at that position.
As they ask you questions, answer them honestly but in a way that shows them how you can do the job.
For instance, they might ask you to tell them about yourself. That is a time you want to tell them things that help to see what you can do for the job.
So, tell them your name, and if you are in school, what you hope to do after graduation, and 3 positive things about yourself. For instance, are you a neat and organized person? Do you follow through on what you are supposed to do.
In fact, what I want you to do after you get off the computer, is to open Word or another word processing software and write down 10 things that are good about yourself that might relate to a job.
For instance, in my list I would write down.
1. I'm a friendly person.
2. I enjoy helping other people
3. I've got integrity
4. I'm compassionate
5. My goal is to help others succeed
6.etc
7.etc
8.etc
9.etc
10.etc
But you need to decide upon 10 things you do well.
Another homework assignment, do a search on Google about interview questions. Do you have someone you could practice with. You want to answer those questions in a way that shows how you can help the company. As long as you don't tell them you can do something that you really can't you will be fine.
Best of luck to you.

Hi,
Remember interviewer is just another wanting to know about whether you fit his requirements.
Research well on the job profile, company that you being interviewed for. Also resume is the only document which lets the interviewer know anything and everything about you and therefore be sure on what you have written as most questions pop out of your resume itself.
Thats it happy interviewing. And remember anything can scare you if and only if you think so.

Get a better attitude. Then, find a friend to practice with. Let your friend ask you questions about a company.
Don't be afraid of not knowing the answer. But look at the interviewer when you reply to a question.
Good Luck

i am the same way.. i hate job interviews! im not a big talker and i have low confidence. what you want to do is not let them know that! do your very best to smile and be polite, and answer their questions to the best of your ability. a lot of times they ask you why you want to work for them, what you know about the company, what experience you have, what you liked and disliked about previous jobs (if you've had any), your strengths and weaknesses, describe yourself in 5 words, horrible open-ended questions like that. just try to be prepared and dont stress! everybody has to go to job interviews, so they understand your nervousness.

Yes it can be, but if you practice, it won't be so difficult. Google search "sample job interview questions" and you'll come up with some good stuff. Interviews can be intimidating, just relax and be yourself.

Stressful, not scary, although it can be.
How did you hear about us?
What are your strong points? weak points?
How do you work as part of a team?
How do you work by yourself?
What did you most like / dislike about your last job?
Why did you leave your last job?
