Responsible or Follow your Dreams?

Question

I'm trying to decide on my future. I have a BA in Theatre arts and have always wanted to be a film actor. I recently have been doing small rolls on a FOX television show called Prison Break.
However, there is a Theatre Arts teaching job offered to me for the upcoming school year.
Do I follow my dreams and risk making little money trying to get to a real acting career or do I do the responsible thing and take the teaching job and have steady income, insurance, etc?

Long-term it's more responsible to stick with acting or any other job in show biz as long as you can before going into teaching. The better your professional resume, the better the future teaching (or coaching) job will be, both in money and interest. Unless you're reduced to sleeping on the sidewalk, it would be responsible to follow your dream.

But you must learn to spell role--rolls are for eating!

The problem with taking a job is I've seen friends get soooo used to the steady income coming in that they lose focus and eventually the desire to follow their dreams.

How about taking the teaching job for now and eventually follow your dreams afterward? I'm sure the job won't be with you for the rest of your life.

I think u should do whatever you feel your heart is at.and if that is riskings making little money then it is what it is. Well good luck and i hope u do whatever u think is right 4 u.

follow your dreams responsibly look at every direction and possibility to make your dreams work without doing something stupid you can live without a few luxuries.
