Currently, Henin-Hardenne. Eventhough she lost Wimbledon this year, I still think she has the best overall game. On most days, she can nail any shot in the book, either from the baseline or at net.

Hingis was the best tactical player in the late '90s and early '00s.

Sharapova relies too heavily on her serve. Also, her grunts are very annoying.

Davenport used to be a very good tactical player, but now that she's getting older, and we haven't seen her play in months, I'm beginning to doubt her game.

Hingis - definitely the most tactical player of the lot
Sharapova - power player (plan A - hit hard, plan B - hit harder)
Henin - technical player. solid forehand and splendidly executed, silky backhand
Davenport - combo of power and tactic
