My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

Best Eczema Treatment?

go see a dermatologist and ask for Elidel cream. Elidel is for eczema and works well. Make her stay away from the sun, use light, lose clothing and to help the itch, use a soap with oat extract.

I have a strong belief in excema being cause by what is termed "leaky gut". Have her start doing the research. It is overwhelming, but amazing stuff. Basically involves an intense diet to heal the stomach and intestines. I am very sorry for her. I do hope that she has an amazing support system who is willing to truely help her heal and not keep slathering her with the next med to come along.

eventually my doctor said i'd grow out of it,yeah right...had it since i was born untill my late 20's...severe case, everywhere and anywhere i had the slightest itch it would show up,your sister probably know's, scratch it untill it bleeds, then scratch some more..and more untill theres this clear liquid seaping from the wound's and it's so painfull...i think I eventually got sick of having it....a doctor put me on to 'elecon', DONT USE THE CREAM'S IT MAKES IT MORE ANNOUYING ,throw all the creams away..this elecon is in liquid form ,i had it on my scalp as well.take your sister to the doctor and get it,while she uses it,try to get herself in the habit of telling herself this will clear it up,i dont need to scratch it..have that kind of attitude...i dont need to scratch it....if she starts to feel the urge to scratch try focusing her thoughts immediately on something else ..that helps, i keep a bottle of elecon in my medicine draw at the first hit of it (usually in summer) i put a bit on and it's gone...when your using elecon,i found it best to use it when you first get out of bed and when ever you feel like the eczema gets to that really annouying burning stage, she know the one were you start sratching...just before that it also helps to lighty blow on it when you put it on,trust me that little discomfort is worth it,dont put up with it for all the years i did.....oh by the way i tryed all the above except the 'gut' thing ..wtf. none of them worked for me...creamy mushy stuff always made it feel yuk...you know get this crap of me,the elecon seem to just vanish into the wounds..

A friend of mine went through a pretty severe episode of that with their little girl for a year with all the drugs and creams. Nothing seemed to work. She sent me her story.

I have found a good probiotic to work wonders, also a flax oil supplement, both found at a vitamin store.
