For example.....She can't remember what she ate for supper the previous day. She can't remember what she did each day for the past week. It's just little stuff and recent stuff....I really don't think she is doing drugs though. I know she has tried it and didn't particularly like it. I know sometimes I forget stuff too but I'm 41 and I don't remember being so forgetful at her age.

No, she's not on any meds other than birth control pills (even though she is still a virgin...I'm 85% sure). She does get depressed but it passes in 24-48 hours and I think that is normal too.

I'm the daughter.. I DO NOT do drugs!!!
I am a virgin mom.. so you know.
Dont worry about that crap, trust me
And ya this memory problem is bugging me!!
I can hardly remember movies when I go to see them.
I have to think pretty hard about what I did the day before,
and from there I can usually remember a few days back.
It's not as if I cant remember a thing of my life, I can remember almost every detail of when i was younger. It's just been this year that it's hard. Just little things like ends of movies, who's house I was at, or if I was at the mall the day before.
The Guy Above me - Nope, I only know a few of my friends numbers off by heart. I used to know almost every bodys phone numbers, then I got a cell and just prgrammed them all in. Even though I no longer have a cell I havent bothered to remember most. I have a piece of paper in my purse that has the numbers of my close friends (or people I need to call alot) that I don't already know the numbers to.
As for music... Music is my life so you're probably right. I could sing the lyrics to my fave songs.. well with the help of a starting point sentence. And I do want to remember what I did before. Friends are another major part of my life, and since im usually hanging out with them... well ya I want to remember.

There are many reasons that could cause forgetfulness. Sometimes, a girl can get seriously depressed if she was dating some guy and he broke it off. Being pregnant can cause some memory issues. Just the basic stress of life can cause memory issues. If she is taking any meds for depression or hyperactivity - I'd see the doctor and make sure she's getting the right doses and not having any other symptoms related to improper dosage of meds. Paxil is very dangerous for teens and has been linked to suicide. I'd get a different drug if that's being used. I mean, sometimes if you asked me, I wouldn't be able to give you all of the answers to those kinds of things and it's just being busy. If she's has too many things going on - it may be time for her to drop something. Watch for other signs of depression. Alot of teens go through that.

I wouldbe concerned. I dont belive this to be normal. Maybe shes just trying to blow you off by giving that answer. If you feel this is not the case, Definately seek medical attn and have her evaluated. It almost sounds like short term memory loss but do not panick and assume it is or something else. It could be something as simple as needing to eat healthier foods or maybe a diet. Good luck!

Ask her again and again if she is doing drugs, children at age 15 usually try smoking weed, it makes you forget things. She is to young to be sooo forgetful. You could also purchase a drug test to test her yourself. Good Luck.

the best thing is to take her to a doctor. If you feel that the answers are not to your satisfactory ask for other doctors opinions. Don't wait to long just in case some thing is wrong. Wish you the best and will keep you and your daughter in prayers.

Yes its called teenage selective memory, if u asked her to recite lyrics to her fav song i bet she could or something TEENAGER interesting.. but the mondane as normalcy things that most teenagers find boring or non important they forget easily.. can she remember her girl friends or boy friends numbers? or does she keep forgetting them every day and has to keep looking them up every time she calls them.. Shes not so much forgetful as shes not interested in caring about certain things.. if its something that interests her i bet she has zero problem remembering it..

I'm a 44 y/o dad of 3 maybe her lapses are intentional just to not allow you into what she is doing? She maybe using this tactic to assert her independence.
