Remove all upholstered furniture, carpet, rugs, curtains (or run curtains through the dyer every wk or so), stuffed animals, clean you vents and intake vent. You can put a thin cheesecloth over your vents to help keep dust out of your room and remember to change filters and cheeseclothe every mo. if not before. Always keep the door closed whether you are in or out. You can put more cheeseclothe over an oscillating fan to keep it from blowing dust toward you. Clean under the underside and back of your bed and dressers and then do it monthly.Wash sheets and bed covers1 or2 times a wk. If you have real plants, get rid of them, and dust your fake ones by putting them in a clothing wash bag and put them in the dryer for about 15min. on fluff/air only with no heat! I have had to to this because I am allergic to house dust. Good luck.

No, dust is everywhere and it's a constant of nature. But you could try dusting more often but don't use one of these furniture polishes. They only attract more dust. Just use a barely damp cloth to remove the dust. You also might want to try one of those air filters for people with allergies. They're supposed to remove dust particles from the air. You'd still have dust but probably not as much.

Seal it off from the rest of the world. Since dust is the accumulation of 70% of people's skin and out door airborn particles the only way (even if your air ducts were clean) you would be able to keep dust out of your room is to seal off every crack and never open it to the outside again.

Never completely. Most dust particles are actually dried skin cell that we shed. You can use the best filters and clean the best you can, but there will always be a bit of dust.

Since dust includes dead skin particles from you, there's no way to get rid of it except to clean the room and surfaces.

Yes - grit and determination! And a good vacuum cleaner, or brush and shovel!!
Seriously, cleanliness is a constant willingness to repeat the cleaning process as often as is necessary!
Now, I know that THAT was not the answer you were lookin' for - BUT - that's the way it is!!!
Now, roll up those sleeves, Jeeves!!!

It's mostly made up of dead skin....so if you want to permanently get rid of it, remove all of your skin, or have a friend cut it off for you.
