As long as the cramps are not as intense as your period and you are not spotting bright red blood, then you are probably ok. Try to relax and rest right now.

I think your nervous. But I did experience the same with my first pregnancy. Hang in there. This is all normal. I you are experiencing a lot of morning sickness, that will cause the cramps and sore stomacher. But the best thing to do is to talk to your OBGYN about these symptoms, as they could be something more serious. Never be afraid to tell them what you are feeling..that is what they are there for. And do not be afraid that a question or concern is too stupid to bring up during your visits and always if your in doubt weather it is during office hours or after to call immediately to voice your concerns. Congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck. Hang in there, the end result is awesome.

Well when you first get pregnant you have morning sickness, sore breasts, darkening of your skin color and fatigue. I think if you are in your first trimester(1-3 months), you should be careful of the cramps, this can signal signs of a miscarriage. Soreness is sometimes associated with pregnancy, but not cramping. i think you should see a doctor, You might need to be on bed rest until these symptoms subside. I was on bed rest after having 2 miscarriages before a successful pregnancy. Good luck.

though every pregnancy is different for each woman, I suggest that you go out and buy a pregnancy book like What to Expect When You are Expecting. It will really help you to figure out if something you are going through is normal or if it is something to be concerned about. The cramping and soreness can be symptoms of your pregnancy or you could have just eaten something that is bad. You should be going for your first OB/GYN appointment and I suggest you ask your doctor so you can put your mind at ease. Just think of it this way....as long as you are not bleeding heavily, you have nothing to worry about.

Good luck and congrats!!

If the cramping and pain is really severe, see a doctor. Miscarriages, more often than not, occur within the first few months, and cramps are one of the symptoms.

When my sister miscarried, she said she got that icky, bloated feeling like she was getting her period.

I don't mean to scare you, but you should probably see a doctor, but in the mean time, cut back on stress, caffiene...ect.

I did when i was pg but it was not frequent and no bleeding associated with it. The cramping only happened during the early part of the pregnancy; i would say 5-6 wks or so.

Yes it is normal.. Your body is adjusting to this major change. You not only have to accommodate a Baby inside of you also a placenta, so your body is making room for it. Do not Alarm yourself. Get on bed and rest with your legs up.. Maybe some Tylenol can help, it will not harm the baby.
Good Luck and feel better..
