I had a close call with something we thought was a tornado, but later turned out to be something called a wall cloud. It might as well have been a small hurricane though. And I don't know if I would call it exhilirating.

I've been outside when a tornado warning went off. It was during a parade, and it started raining sheets; I had to run through that to the high school gym, which was the tornado shelter, and though I had an umbrella, the entire lower half of my body was soaked. The actual tornado never got anywhere near us, though; it touched down on a highway a few miles away.

Hahaha! My husband did have to crawl under his desk b/c of a tornado watch/warning last week. It turns out that the people in his row at work weren't told that the coast was clear so they were still hanging out together under their desks until finally someone came and filled them in. Getting paid to sit and chat under desks is okay I guess--better than a real close call with a tornado I guess! :) Haha!

I've never had a close call but I did see 3 tornadoes. Two in Toronto, Ontario, and one in Windsor, Ontario.

There was one in Westchester, NY a couple days ago. Didn't get to see it (the tornado), but saw the damage which was mostly down trees and power lines.

I was taken up in a twister and I grabbed on to a bull by the horns . We spun around like crazy and then got thrown 40 ft away . Fortunately the bull broke my fall . The bull saved my life . The bull died immediatly . We had steak for dinner. NO BULL !

Yes -- and I was in a travel trailer at the time. It was night, and I remember that the sky turned a strange greenish color. We were shaken around like the pebbles in maracas. It was scary, but exhilarating as well -- there was a magnificent sense of the power of nature.

No, I've never had a close call with a tornado. And I'd like to keep it that way.

I was in my yard during a storm, and this tiny tornado shot down, went through the back of the yard and ripped a tree out of the ground.

It was fascinating.
