it should start going away after about a week.Sport the sunglasses and don't make any special appointments.try to hang out with only family and close friends.no dates.no new friends.at work,i don't know.if you are seen by customers then i would present the situation to the manager and ask him for a less exposing job.i would want someone with a black eye trying to support my customers.it is humiliating to both parties.

i read ur other question....my answer would have been not to fight.try and make things better.i'm guessing tho that is how u got the shiner.lol

You could put neosporin on it to help the swelling along with the ice. You'll notice a significant change in 4 or 5 days, and your black eye should be gone by a week and a half...2 weeks tops.

Hi,

I woke up on Tuesday morning with a black eye as well , but still can not work out how I did it, I know I did not get hit or anything, but it was such a shiner.
so much so , that I went to the hospital to get tests done, but its got everyone baffled as to how it happend.

If yours was caused by a hit to the eye, then the best thing would be an Ice Pack , every so often , if this does not help , maybe a trip to your local GP to get it checked out.
Best of Luck .

Neosporin won't help unless the skin is broken. Meat won't help. People use that as a cooling mechanism. Ice and elevate. Bruises take about a week to heal depending on how deep they are. Get some good sunglasses, or make up or develop a good story as to how you got the shiner.

ok, this is what a lot of Asian people would do to get rid of the swelling and bruise around the eyes.

They would put an warm boiled egg in a thin towel and roll in around the black eye. I think the warmth and the rolling motion from the egg would increase blood flow in the blacken area and therefore decreses the blackness around your eye.

Try it and see.

Aluminum is the best for swellin..
Take a can of soda and freeze it and put it on your eye.. professional boxers do it.
As for the discoloration, use coco butter... (make sure its the pure coco butter stick not the lotion).
...last, use foundation to cover the black eye untill the coco butter works it away! :)

It will take a few days to go away. After the first day, use hot soaks on it. Go to Beautyco and buy a yellow coverstick and apply that to make it look better.

Get some of those big shades that women wear to hide their black eyes.

Don't put neosporin or cocoa butter near your eye please, as was adviced.
Ice packs are the best thing.
Did you walk into a door ? LOL
