I enjoyed the second installment. The cannibals were great as was Jack's face paint during that scene. The fruit incident was a bit over the top, but the cages the men are hung in were pretty funny as was the dialog that went on between the two groups.
Meeting Will's father and all the effects that went into Davy Jone's men was fascinating. I liked the fact that watching the film kept your eyes busy looking at everything that comprised of each scene. Every member of Davy Jones' crew was done in detail, and each crew member's physical characteristics changed throughout the movie.
The fight scene near the end of the movie was very long and got tiring but not boring as the location of the sword play was beautiful.
Overall I would give the movie an 8, props for great dialog and very interesting characters. Even the cliffhanger ending didn't make me feel like I was missing something, only expecting greatness in the film yet to come.

I liked them both. I do wish that they wouldn't have been "family films" I have always loved and been fascinated by pirates. But I want to see all f the same actors but with a grittier script. Like with cussing and other stuff that real Pirates did. But they are great family films. Not to mention Johnny Depp is strangely sexy as a pirate. ( I don't normally find him attractive)

I liked the second installment since it's a lot darker than the first. But I hated it that Jack might be one of Davy Jone's crew in the next one and the fact that Barbossa is still alive! God, he was shot in the first one! How the hell did he live again?

LAME, I wish I could get my money back. THE ENDING SUCKED SO BAD!!!! It didn't even have an ending. If I would have known this I would have waited till the NEXT SEQUAL came out and then rented them both at the same time. THe movie totally left you hanging on everything, but leave it to disney to screw you into seeing the next one so they can make even MORE MONEY! It was like a long long disney commercial.

I just saw the new one last night. I loved the first one....and I was really looking forward to the second one. I had trouble understanding some of the story line and also the one lady who was kind of fortune tellerish....but other than that, I thought it was good. I wish it didn't leave me hanging like that, though

Well the first one was okay, but I LOVE the second one.
I've already seen it 2 times and I'm going again tomorrow.
I find that the second one is a bit more funny and very very interesting, whereas the first one was decent, but i just prefer the second one.

It's fun to watch. Captain Jack and Will Turner have a unique relationship that keeps us laughing every time we watch it.
