My "quantum leap" centered around the mapping of the collective human intellect and how best to proceed: I already knew from training in Anthropology that human dialogue was pivotal to understanding the intentionalities and implied content of any given population, culture, sub-culture, etc., but I didn't quite grasp how I would keep the mapping reliable, i.e., cross-culturally valid. My friend and I were dicussing a book by C.H. Waddington, "Tools for Thought," when we happened to discuss a number of "dialectics" offered to explain the God-Human relationship, then it hit me that the dialectics would not only need to be complementary, but instrumental in the reconnoitering process (or problem-solving venture of any kind)... these would be seen as "archetypal" or pre-emergent, pre-existing patterns of reponse mechanics in "space-time" itself. There's a lot more but there not the room to cover it here... but if your so inclined you're invited to visit my group's blog at blogspot.com below:

This was a thoughtful question... thanks for asking it!

An epiphany is close to a religious experience. Without the religion. Make sense? It's a profund insight into something. It's an experience you'll recognize when you have. It's life altering and all that happy junk. To answer your question, I haven't had one. Although I have achieved some insights into this f***ed up life of mine. Whoopee.

When my daughter was just over 2 years old and I was out of work so was home with her, I realized that I was supposed to be with her and raise my own children. Not work and never see them. I've been at home ever since.

My biggest epiphany has been about fear. People are scared about something because they think it will hurt or kill them. So if you aren't afraid of death you aren't afraid of anything. And in order not to be afraid of death (in my opinion) you have to believe in heaven and believe you are going there.

I used to worry and constantly critique my parenting. I would feel guilty if I yelled at my kids. One day I realized I am not supposed to be my kids' friend - that's what other kids are for! I am their mother and I gave myself permission to be that. I no longer worried and when I went to bed at night I would think to myself that millions of kids would LOVE to have me as their mother and I slept the sleep of angels.
