Keep it. Your age should not matter in the things you like, you don't have to fit into some mold.
A lot of the women in my family have one. My mom got hers done when she was 47. She wears a tiny diamond stud that looks great on her.
It all matters in how you carry your self, if you had a nose piercing to try and feel young it's a mistake. If you have it because you think it's beautiful then by all means enjoy it.

I'm 45. I think if it makes you feel pretty you should keep it. If it doesn't you should lose it. Don't let others dictate to you by saying your too old for something. The older we get the more regrets we have and at 40 I'm sure you can agree with me on that point. So enjoy it if you are enjoying it. But if you want to move on and don't feel comfortable with it, then okay. But at 40 you're still young enough to enjoy things like that if you want to.

I just turned 40, and I think it's totally up to you. Take a good long look in the mirror and consider if it really reflects who you are at this stage in your life. Consider what motivated you to get it in the first place, and how it made you feel those first few weeks -- do you still feel that way? Then keep it.

The mother of one of my son's friends has her nose pierced and she's over 40; but they are Indian, so it is part of their culture.

You are totally correct. Lose it. Forget about it. I'm 50, and if I saw a 40 year old woman with a pierced nose, I think I'd lose my lunch.

No, do you think there is any age that is too old for it? If you saw a 60 year old with her nose pierced would you think she was too old or would you think "hey, that's cool!"

Also, "40 is the new 30!"

40 is too old for teen adornment
when I see a older gal with pierced lip, nose, eyebrow, navel... I just shake my head and snicker

stay young! age is just a number and just because your 40 doesnt mean your a senior. if you like it then keep it, whats the difference between that and a tattoo.nothing. and im sure there are plenty of 50-60 yr.olds that have them on thier bodies.there permanent!!!

If you feel like you need to let it go , then do it. But I think that if you like it you should keep it, it is all about loving yourself. I don't believe in the too old stuff, it is all about how you feel about yourself. Just don't be 100 in a tube top!lol =)
