I saw that someone mentioned the Majestic already, and I do love that movie. How about Hoodwinked (very funny), Lemony Snickett (graphically cool and fun), The Skeleton Key (little scary, nice little twist at the end).

The Upside to Anger (thought provoking and a big twist near the end), Fools Rush In (good romantic chick flick).

Oh and last but not least.. for a symbolic movie about the need to be openminded, etc, try Pleasantville.

I just watched "Hoodwinked" the other day and it was much cuter then I thought it would be, quite funny in an off way. I would say to watch the movie "Serenity" if you like sci-fi, it's meaningful, funny, and has action. It does come from a TV show called "Firefly" which is also very good.

Shawshank Redemption- It's moving and sooo well done.

Oscar- it's an older flick and kind of silly, if you like that type of thing.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape- starring leonardo as a mentally retarded boy and Jonny Depp as his older brother when they both where super young...it's great

Office Space- my fav. comedy

I just rented 16 Blocks with Bruce Willis and Mos Def. I wasn't too keen on seeing it, but I actually enjoyed it! Worth checking out.
